The Happening

Once again M Knight does a great job. I have loved all of his movies except signs. This movie is about a brilliant imagined condition caused by many considered pathogens. There will probably be a whole bunch of type imitator movies after this one.

Get Smart

I thought it would be stupid and that they chose the wrong star. It was excellent. The star Steve Carell was excellent. It is two hours of bimbling craziness. And it's not disturbing like Zohan.

The Strangers

Do you want to jump, do you want to be scared, do you not want the charater to look for the bogey man...then see the Strangers. Apparently this is based on a true story and no one really knows what exactly and why a young couple was so brutally attacked.

The Children of Huang Shi

George Hogg, a British journalist takes on the care of a Chinese orphanage in 1937. When he learns that his orphanage could be an ideal picking ground for the Chinese army, he takes on the ambitious task of moving them by foot over 700 miles to Mongolia. The cinematography is beautiful.

When Did You Last See Your Father?

Very moving very sad and very poignant.
Colin Firth deals with his dad's last days to cancer and has flashbacks in which we learn about the sometimes difficult relationship he had with his father.
Very appropriate for this time of year.

I'd like to amend and reiterate my position on Zohan.
Funny but oddly disturbing

Funny but silly...
I wanted to compare it to Borat, but it isn't the same.
It seemed like the funny swimm suit was some type of hommage to the yellow suspender suit favored by Borat and then John Mayer.

Sex and the City

Excellent fun, better than the show. I wasn't a fan of the show though. But the movie is great. I love what Cnadace Bushnell created. They all have wonderfull lives and great closets and friends.
