Sean Penn gives a spine tingling performance as the first openly gay if not gay politician in San Francisco. We would never think of him as playing a gay person because it goes against the stereotypes but he did a wonderfull service to Harvey Milk.

The Changelling

THis is another great work by Dirty Harry. It is strange how Clint Eastwood the actor or actor directed by others and clint Eastwood the director seem to be really different. I love him as Callahan and I love the movies he makes. Who would have ever though that Dirty Harry would make such beautiful movies. It goes to show how perception and reality do not always match and what kind of movies he could have meade as an actor at a younger age. He is still one sexy man.
The Ghangelling is the true account of a boy who goes missing in 1920's L.A. Angelina Jolie plays a mother who tirelessly searches for her boy who dissapeared while she was at work. She not only looks for him but must battle a corrupt system that also serves the masochistic undertones of the time. Angelina plays the role with restreint of a savvy woman of that time.
